Bio I have always had a passion for music and have learned to play guitar, bass guitar, drums and I sing. I was first motivated to learn the guitar after I saw rock bands performing in my secondary school assembly hall. By taking up lessons and being a dedicated member of the guitar club at school, I started to learn the instrument seriously at the age of twelve.
In my first few years of playing, I enjoyed exploring a wide range of technical skills on electric guitar from Rock, Blues and Metal genres. During my third year of playing guitar, I picked up acoustic fingerstyle and was influenced by singer-songwriters as my music taste broadened.
I have always loved singing. After being encouraged to sing in school concerts, I gradually became more confident and started to perform live. My first solo gig was in June 2011 and I have been performing regularly since then in both solo and group performances.
Music was my favourite subject throughout secondary school so I decided to study it further at college. This has allowed me to develop confidence, musicianship and professional practice. I have gained a wide set of academic and technical skills whilst learning about the diverse sectors of the music industry.
As well as studying music, I felt that it was important to get some experience outwith college. Alongside my studies, I have applied knowledge from my course to practical situations. I have done this by getting involved in extra-curricular activities in the following areas: health care, community, education, live performance, recording and self-promotion. I have thoroughly enjoyed these experiences and have learned a lot from them. They have also prepared me for future work in a number of different areas.
